Silver Hearts
CIT’s «Silver Hearts collection» originated in 2005 with «Endless Love», a sterling silver coin in the shape of a heart measuring 37×37 mm. Since then the series has been issued on loosely annual basis, with gaps in 2010, 2011, 2015 and 2016. Over the years, the series has seen a variety of issuing countries such as the Northern Mariana Islands, Liberia, Cameroon, Palau and Cook Islands. Likewise, the specifications of silver content, weight, maximum mintage and quality have varied. The overarching motif of love has been illustrated with angels, flowers, hearts and swans. Early issues featured partial colouration, while recent coins received a more elaborate surface treatment and holograms. Since 2014, the coins incorporate flower bouqets made with crystals and are specifically designed as Valentine’s Day gifts.
