Pacific Wildlife - Spinner Dolphins

Dolphins are fascinating and downright social animals, especially the Eastern Pacific dolphin (Spinner Dolphin). The name derives from “to spin”; these animals jump high out of the water and spin around their own axis like a spinning top. The beautiful sea mammals congregate in groups that vary from just a few dolphins to great numbers up in the thousands. The body length of one of these dolphins lies between 1.20 and 2.30 meter and can weight up to 80 kilograms.

As a surfer would ride a wave, the playful and acrobatic sea dwellers are known to „ride“ the bow waves of boats and ships.  These coins are homage to all dolphins, for who knows how long they will still enrich our ocean.
