CIT takes home two silver medals for Tamdakht Meteorite and Bavarian Purity Law and congratulates NumisCollect and Numiartis on their well deserved awards
The eleventh award ceremony of the international Coin Constellation contest was held on September 22nd at the COINS-2017 show in Moscow. Following up on last years success with two first place winners, CIT is proud to receive anther two awards at this years ceremony.
The jury, consisting of numismatic experts from famous museums and auctions, numismatic associations and magazine editors as well as representatives of coin distributors had the challenging task to choose the top three coins in each of eight categories. The 268 contest coins were nominated by 40 participants from 27 countries.
The Tamdakht Meteorite coin received a silver medal in the category «Unique Concept». Meteorite coins have been popular for the past decade. Producing a new and innovative coin in such a well established series is thus extremely challenging. The deliberatly overstruck Tamdakht Meteorite coin, however, managed to successfully transcend traditional coin design and breath new life into CIT’s beloved meteorite coin collection.
Another groundbreaking design was the superlative 500 Years Bavarian Purity Law coin struck in the original shape of a bottle cap. The unusual design and technologically complex strike was awarded with the silver medal in the category «Souvenir Coin» and drives CIT to always advance coin minting technology to produce the most challenging and advanced designs in the world of modern numismatics.
Last but not least, CIT congratulates Numiartis on their 2nd place award in the category «Coin of the Year» with their stunning Winged Isis, and NumisCollect whose outstanding Oyster 5th Anniversary coin was runner-up in the category «Original Technology». CIT is proud to work with progressive and creative clients who value innovation and technological perfection. Strong and trusting partnerships will certainly result in many successful and award winning coin issues to come.
