In late March CIT visited the Marine Bay Sands Expo Centre to attend the Singapore International Coin Fair, introducing a small but delightful selection of new coins.
Highlighting the three new releases is the second iteration of the Laughing Buddha coin that premieredat SICF in 2017. The successor features the same striking combination of gilded smartminting relief on a black proof surface. The lying Buddha holding a fan represents happiness and contentment.
In addition to the Buddha, the marine-themed small gold shapes received a new addition in the form of a starfish and a traditional small gold coin was struck to commemorate the royal wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle on May 19, 2018.
