Adinatha or Rishabha Dev was founder of Jainism and the first of the 24 Tirthankaras of the present age (Avasarpini). Because of this,he had the name of Adinath – the first lord. Rishabh, Rishabhanāth, Rushabh, Rushabhdev, Adinath or Adishwar are the other names used for Rishabha Dev.
His symbol is Bull and the most famous temples is in Palitana, in Gujrat, India established in 1656. Lord Adinatha said to have meditated on the Satrunjaya hills, where the Palitana Temples were constructed later.
