Evolution of Life

CIT’s new Evolution of Life series started off with a bang in 2015. The first issue «Ammonite» was exceptionally well received and sold out immediately. The brilliant rose-gold gilded fossil rose high off the rock matrix thanks to incredible smartminting relief. The realistic depiction made the first coin an instant classic. The future of the series will continue to feature select fossils from various geologic periods. Follow-up to the Ammonite was the Trilobite released in 2016. Its design is based on a real, 470-million-year-old Cheirurus ingricus fossil found near St. Petersburg, Russia. 2017 saw the leap to vertebrates with the brilliant Ichthyosaur of the Triassic period. Stay tuned for what will be unearthed next…
